The Ridge Retreat NT

At the top of our 22-acre rural bush block you’ll be welcomed by a cleverly designed building that flows along the rock edge, marrying its colour & beauty. Double glazed glass windows and doors throughout the building provide you with views of the native bushland and endless skies from any point of view. For comfort there are two air-conditioners set at the optimum temperature for our climate. Ceiling fans in both rooms and on the deck help to circulate the air, helping you to keep cool if you are feeling the NT heat. Dimmable lights and electric blinds provide additional luxury in the bush. After passing the main house you are on your own. We are hands off hosts respecting your privacy but here if you require assistance or help. Every one of our guests deserves to feel safe & welcome. We are all-inclusive to LGBTQIA+ community. We provide a safe environment where you are free to reconnect, relax & be you. If you are a keen bird watcher, photographer or a lover of nature we have created some walking paths around the property for you to enjoy. Please be aware that these are shared areas, and you may get to say hello to us or our friendly dogs if you meet us. This unique secluded bed and breakfast is one of its kind in this area. The retreat is designed for the individual traveller or for a couple; with one queen bed, large walk-in shower and a brand new fully equipped kitchen to make your stay easy to self-cater. Your first breakfast is on us! Bacon & eggs, juice, homemade jams and chutney, local honey and Steven's freshly made bread. With prior notice we can do our best to assist with dietary requirements. Curl up in the kitchen nook or relax back in a comfortable chair to enjoy the view from the sliding doors with a good book, a cuppa and a homemade Anzac biscuit. There is limited Telstra phone service and unlimited Starlink Wi-Fi for those that wish to connect and a cleverly hidden television. Stepping outside you'll feel the warmth of the large merbau wooden deck, crafted to wrap around the rugged ridge line, softening its harshness and bringing balance. Choose from an array of seating areas or simply sit on the rocks! Enjoy sitting up high where the birds fly, watching the trees dancing in the wind. 107klms south of Darwin city centre you will be surrounded by the ever-changing wilderness of the Northern Territory; experience this unique opportunity to have uninterrupted tree top views across the Finniss Valley & Litchfield National Park.
