Perched on high on Kardarup (Mount Melville) with sweeping harbour views, an elegant one-bedroom studio is the perfect backdrop for your weekend away. A full kitchen, warming wood fireplace, and timber terrace give you plenty of quiet space to relax and reconnect.
Yarri and Tallerack Studios are architecturally designed and fitted out with meticulously crafted furniture made from a single salvaged WA blackbutt tree. A luxurious king-sized bed and adjacent bathroom are finished with premium bedding and towels. Metres of billowing linen curtains open at the touch of a button to reveal artful use of sustainably grown timber surrounding the two-storey insulated window overlooking Mammang-Koort (Princess Royal Harbour).
Set within the grounds of Albany’s most unique residence, your studio was purpose built with form, function, and sustainability in mind.

Lou and James share a love of Albany and the Great Southern of Western Australia. Our connection to place, and our passion and commitment to our home town, its community, producers and creatives is central to who we are.
Beginning Samphire Collection in 2021, we had an opportunity to contribute to our local community and create meaningful experiences for our guests. We take our privilege as hosts seriously and are committed to quality, creativity, sustainability, accessibility and social responsibility.

House Rules
We’ve worked hard to create a beautiful space for guests to relax, unwind and enjoy our town. You are in the heart of a close-knit community and we are committed to maintaining the peace and tranquillity of the neighbourhood.
Please park only in designated parking.
Samphire Collection properties are strictly non-smoking, both inside and out. If you smoke, please do so off the property and remove your butts.
You’re welcome to invite friends over for a drink or a meal but there is to be no more than 4 people in the Studio at one time.
Please respect our neighbours: ensure there is no noise after 10pm in the garden and keep noise levels inside the house low after this time.
The washing machine and dryer are for your use, but please don’t wash the towels or sheets provided. You’re on holiday! If you are staying for a week or longer, or if you simply need fresh towels, additional linen can be supplied.
Please separate waste into landfill, recycling and compostable (compost bins provided, please use the FOGO bags provided which are made from cornstarch and fully compostable).
Pets are welcome in the Studios but please be aware there is no enclosed yard and it is unsuitable for leaving pets unattended for longer periods
We understand that crockery and glassware breaks from time to time. Please let us know if that happens so we can replace items for our next guests. For anything more substantial, you may be billed for damage to property and contents. If accidents happen, PLEASE let us know so we can keep our properties safe and beautiful for future guests.
Cancellation
Flexible - Full refund given if a guest cancels more than 24 hours before their scheduled arrival date. If 24 hours or less notice is given, the host retains the full booking fee.
